Surrender your Beagle
If you're absolutely certain that giving up your Beagle is your one and only solution, we may be able to offer assistance. We must restrict the number of animals that we can accept and as a general rule, we can not take a dog that is in a home already. We have a very limited shelter facility, and may need to place your dog with a foster until a suitable home is found. Where possible, We ask that you continue to keep your dog while we assist with finding a home for your pet. SandHillBeagles rescue will list your Beagle on our Adoption Pages (petfinder) so that you may find a loving home for him or her. If we do have foster home space, we may be able to take your dog into foster care.
If your dog is unaltered, he or she will first need to be neutered or spayed in order to be adopted. In addition, we request a $50 donation from owners, who are releasing their dogs to SandHillBeagles rescue. Finally, we must receive all current Vet records and proof of the following for your dog:
- Spay or Neuter
- Rabies Vaccination Certificate
- Distemper, Parvo, Parainfluenza Vaccinations
- Name and location of your current Vet
